Sometimes stained concrete is used to enhance a polished concrete floor. Other times we offer it to help distract or hide unsightly patina (discolored or damaged areas) in the concrete floor.

There are two types of stained concrete floor finishes we can offer. Solvent stained concrete color or Acid stained concrete color:

Solvent stains predominantly are used when Polishing concrete floors.

Acid stained are normally used with Sealers, due to the variegation caused by the acid etching the concrete floor surface.

Concrete Floor Sealing and Cleaning Contractor

Polished Concrete pros prefers to polish most concrete floors.

However, on larger projects and some unique projects a cleaning and sealing process is what is required.

Warehouses,storage units,indoor sport courts, large shop floors, etc. to name a few.

This process starts by using degreasers and other detergent cleaners, along with an auto scrubber to remove dirt,stains, etc. from the floor surface.

After cleaning we usually apply a Densifier to the surface, to reduce dusting and improve the hardness.

Finally when all is complete we apply a finish coat called a surface guard, which is a type of sealer and stain blocker.

The cost for this process is about a third of the expense and about 10% of the time it would take to polish the same floor.

Concrete Surface Prep & Mastic Removal

Concrete Surface Prep is a process where we chemically, or mechanically remove materials such as epoxy, paint, mastic, glues or anything that would interfere with the bonding of a new floor product to a concrete surface.

This process is also done on new or clean concrete floors as a method of profiling the surface, (opening up the surface) so it will absorb color stains, Epoxy, and sealers.

Concrete Floor Leveling Contractor

Polished Concrete Pros also offers floor leveling using hydrolic overlays. If your starting a remodel project and you find that your floor is out of level, then floor leveling may be what you need.

From feather thin edge to a few inches out of level. We have your answer.

Maybe your doing a remodel and are considering a polished concrete floor. But that floor is in really bad shape?

Your best answer maybe to overlay it with hydrolic overlay rather than to break the old concrete out. Does not hurt to ask, and floor leveling is a great money saver over complete break out and removal of a concrete floor.

We use only SCOFIELD Formula One Liquid Dye Concentrate, which is a solvent soluble dye for coloring interior concrete surfaces.

Designed for easy job-site dilution with acetone, the diluted material will penetrate into the pores of properly prepared new or old concrete.

It can be applied lightly to gently tone surfaces, or heavily to develop deep colors.
